September 12, 2005Happy Monday! Hope each of you had a good weekend! Well, I received both great news and not-so-great news on Friday. The great news is that my cancer marker went down 49 points the not-so-great news is that the biopsy I had last Tuesday revealed that the cancer has spread to my right pectorals (chest) muscle. I am meeting with the doctor this afternoon to discuss what options are next. My chemo treatment was changed last Wednesday so I do not think that they will change it again after just one treatment, but you never know, "all things are possible". I want to thank each of you again for your support and words of encouragement and most of all your prayers. I feel truly blessed to have you in my corner. Have a blessed week. I will update again soon. |
About Me
I have been a single mom of three for 15 years. I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer February 14, 2003. I have chosen to live with the cancer and not let the cancer outlive me! My faith, family and friends are very important to me. I love family and friend get togethers. My faith has gotten me to where I am today.

dlynne, I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
Dlynne,
I came across your blog through another blog (just me Robin and came across hers through Rebekah)...anway...I wanted to say that you will be in my prayers!
May God FILL you --every cell of your being with His peace --and may His healing touch permeate you from the top of your head - to the soles of your feet!
In Jesus' Name, Amen!
Blessings,
Deb
My thoughts are with you... Keep smiling!
Hugs,
Tanya
You came by my blog via Michele's. Thanks for leaving a comment. My thoughts are with you. Have strength.
My best friend went through chemo several years ago and now there's something with her blood levels. You're both my thoughts.
Not to be a downer here, but I lost a very good friend to cancer on thanksgiving day, 2 years ago. She had lympnode cancer, went through radiation, was on her 12 month free and got a headache. New cancer in her pituitary gland. She fought and fought and did really good right up until she quit fighting. She was 62 and tired. Please don't stop fighting. Keep strong and tell yourself and the world that you will beat this. My thoughts are with you.
And just to attempt to lighten the mood, did you mention you liked Pacman??? (Java plug-in required to play, available here) Of course it counts!! A phenomena in it's own right and possibly the first game I got addicted to. As does Space Invaders (java again). Check out the links in my side-bar for more games just like these that might be right up your niche market. They are all games I've reviewed and checked so come with the assurance that they at least work and all have an "acceptable" standard. I'll be re-organising the links to include an option to check the relevant review to each game-link (if that makes sense) from the archive to make it easier to navigate. But yeah - retro games rock!
If you can plough through screen after screen of alien invaders or survive with mutant ghosts chasing you when all you're trying to do is eat your dinner off the floor then any illness can be beaten surely? (huh...? What do you mean your name's not Shirly?)
I am praying so hard for you. Your courage is beyond inspirational, and I can't wait to read more words and thoughts from you.
Bless you and your family. Please know how strongly we are all pulling for you.
You are such an amazing woman ..Your attitude and spirit are remarkable .I will continue to keep you in my prayers :)
